We have launched regional gatherings throughout the CPD, with the intention to help people in each region connect, grow together, and encourage conversation and learning. These gatherings will be annual, free, one-day events held in each region at a CPD church from approximately 9:00am to 2:00pm, and are open to pastoral and non-pastoral church staff, board members, and ministry leaders. There will be refreshments (tea/coffee/muffins, etc.) in the morning and lunch.
At this year’s CPD Regional Gatherings, Engaging Conflict: Shepherding Faithfully Through Tension will equip pastors, elders, and ministry leaders to approach difficult conversations as an essential part of faithful shepherding. Conflict is inevitable in church leadership, but avoiding it rarely protects the flock. Through biblical reflection, practical tools, and an interactive case study, participants will explore how values and cultural dynamics shape conflict, identify their conflict styles in both calm and storm, and learn a four-phase pathway for building safety, uncovering what is really at stake, developing wise options, and moving toward clear and accountable action. Come prepared to strengthen your leadership, deepen trust, and cultivate a healthier culture of truth, grace, and reconciliation in your church.
More information about the 2027 Regional Gatherings will be shared through the CPD News Update.
